Hazel Grove MP Andrew Stunell has been appointed as a government minister by Prime Minister David Cameron and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg. Mr Stunell will take on a role in the Department for Communities and Local Government, where he will work closely with Secretary of State Eric Pickles. Mr Stunell was previously Shadow Minister for Communities and Local Government between 2006-2007. In his new role, Mr Stunell will be responsible for race equality, community cohesion (including the future of PREVENT), building regulations, housing and regeneration, and the implementation of the Big Society.
