Tomorrow morning at 11am, Hazel Grove MP Andrew Stunell will visit the Stockport and District Deaf Society as part of his campaign to end the staggeringly long waiting lists for hearing aids in Stockport.

Commenting ahead of his visit, Mr Stunell said:

"I am delighted to find out more about the Stockport Deaf Centre. It provides essential help and support to hearing impaired people across Stockport.

"I am campaigning for all local residents to have prompt access to the digital hearing aids that they need. At the moment many local people have to wait over two years for a digital hearing aid."

Mr Stunell will also take up concerns that service users have about the shortage of subtitles available on terrestrial television. ENDS

Notes to Editors:

Members of the press are welcome to join the visit at 11am on Thursday 31st May.
